SHOW ME BASS CLUB
RULES & REGULATIONS
BY-LAWS AND CONSTITUTION
October, 2007
- I-PURPOSE
- The purpose of this club is for the amateur fisherman to compete against other equally like fisherman.
- This club is not intended to be a money making club. The membership and entry fees are made affordable for the average
fisherman.
- II-DUES AND MEMBERSHIP
- An annual membership is $25.00 per person and is non-refundable.
- Members may fish with their spouse or their children until their 16th birthday or an alternate for 3 combined regular
season tournaments without paying a membership. You can only use an alternate 1 time without paying a membership. The second
time using an alternate they pay a membership even if it is a different alternate.
- Membership is open to anyone with the approval of the members.New members including alternates are subject to a background
check and approved by the officers. No applications for membership will be accepted the day of the tounrament.
- Anglers wishing to join the club must be considered amateurs in the world of tournament fishing. If over the past three
years you have fished any tournaments as a "Pro Angler" or you have been a guide on any lake in the Midwest you are ineligible
to join the club.
- All members are expected to conduct themselves in a sportsman like manner while participating in club tournament. Failure
to do so could result in ejection from the club.
- The decision to eject a member from the Club will be decided by the officers of the club.
- The Club President will notify the member in question of his questionable action before the next tournament
- III-CLUB MEETINGS
- We will have a club meeting in November to discuss tournament schedule and lakes to be fished and any new ideas from the
members. We will also hold a meeting in February to go over and changes and get ready for the season.
- We may have a meeting once a month (typically the week or so) before the upcoming tournament to discuss that particular
tournament.
- Only the Club President or Vice President amy call a special meeting. Special meetings can also be called at the request
of at least 4 members by notifying the Club President. An attempt will be made to contact all members.
- Club By-Laws and Constitution may be changed only between November 1-February 28th.
- IV-TOURNAMENTS
- There will be (7) regular season point tournaments.
- There is a Classic (fish off) in October to end the season. This is a non point tournament.
- All members will have a say on the lakes that are selected to be fished for the upcoming year.
- Tournament dates and lakes may not be changed. The take-off area times chosen may be changed by the Tournament Director
or Water Patrol due to weather or safety.
- If a tournament is cancelled, an alternate tournament may be voted on by the members.
- The team must fish at least (4) regular season point tournaments to be eligible for the Classic.SEE RULE UNDER TOURNAMENTS

- Alternates: Any team may use an alternate (1) time without them paying a membership. The second use of an alternate requires
a membership fee to be paid even if its a different alternate.
- Spouse or Child: You may fish (2) regular season tournaments with your spouse ad/or child under the age of 16 without
a membership being paid. You may also fish with your spouse or child instead of an alternate for a total of (3) tournaments.
- You can fish (2) regular season tournaments with spouse and/or child and (1) with an alternate or you can fish (3) regular
season tournaments with spouse and/or child with no membership. A membership is required after a spouse and/or child fish
more than (3) times and you want to use an alternate they will have to pay the membership.
- Tournament entry fee: $70.00 a team
- Entry fee must be received by 8:00 pm Wednesday prior to the tournament.
- Payouts for the tournament will be based on every 4 boats. 1-4(1 place),5-8(2 places),9-12(3 places),13-16(4 places),17-20(5
places), 21 or more boats payout will change to 1 every 5 boats, 21-25(5 places),26-30(6 places).
- In event only one fish is caught and weighed that team will receive all cash prizes and big bass.
- If no fish are weighed at a tournament, all cash and prizes will carry over to the next point tournament and those same
teams that fished the NO-FISH tournament would be fishing two seperate tournaments in one. Teams that fish the next
point tournament but did not fish the NO-FISH tournament would only be fishing for the current prize money. All teams
that fish the NO-FISH tournament receive 10 points for fishing the tournament. You will not receive position points
from the NO-FISH tournament in the next point tournament. You are only fishing for that money. You will receive points
for position in the current scheduled tournament only. The entries will not be transferred to the next tournament as the entry
for that tournament. It gives only the same teams a 2nd chance at that tournaments prize money.
- 100% of the money received from entry fees from each tournament will be paid as follows:
- $38.00 Tournament
- $13.00 Big Bass (2)
- $ 2.00 Big Bass of the year award
- $10.00 Classic ($8.00 entry fee, $2.00 awards)(put aside)
- $ 7.00 Club Fund
- $70.00 Total
- Side Pots: If teams want to add a side pot on top of their entry they can and the top finisher of those teams takes 100%.
Side pots will be $20.00 cash per boat morning of the tournament and the tournament director will hold the money.
- Classic: The clubs Classic will be in October and is the last tournament of the year and is a non point
tournament.
- Classic Entry Fee: $80.00 with optional Big Bass.
- The team must fish at least (4) regular season point tournaments to be eligible for the Classic. It means that
the team members combined must fish at least (4) of the regular season tournaments as part of that team. Your partner or alternate
for the Classic must have fished at least (1) regular season point tournament and be a paid member to be eligible for the
Classic.
- $70.00 Entry fee for the Classic is paid through your regular season tournament entries. But, if you only fish
4-6 regular season tournaments, you will need to pay the difference to fish the Classic. If you fish regular season tournaments
and do not fish the Classic, your $10.00 a tournament would go into the classic funds. It would NOT be refunded to
you.
- Optional Big Bass: We will add $10.00 per team for (1) Big Bass at time of the Classic. The $10.00 needs
to be paid the week before the Classic or cash at the tournament to be entered in the Big Bass Payout.
- Awards: $56.00 of each entry is for cash payout. $14.00 is for awards. A plaque will be given to both team
members of 1st and 2nd place in the Classic. There will also be one Big Bass in the Classic and they will receive a plaque
and cash.
- Payouts: Payout will be (2) places up to ten boats, 11-20 boats the payout will go to (3) places, 21-30 boats
the payout will go to (4) places and 31-40 boats the payout will go to(5) places. We payout fewer places in the Classic to
have higher payout.
